It’s a narrative that spans generations, continents, and industries, beginning with a simple act of service in a small village in Gujarat, India, and evolving into a diversified global enterprise. As the Chairman of Reign Holdings, I carry forward a legacy deeply ingrained in hard work, community, and a vision that transcends borders.

How It All Began

1900–1940 – The Foundation of Legacy
Our family’s journey began with my great-grandfather, Sulaiman Salya, in Gujarat, India. He was the village Hakeem—a wise man and healer, practicing herbal medicine and serving his community selflessly. His commitment to healing wasn’t just a profession; it was a calling that established the values our family holds dear.

His son, Ahmed Salya, my grandfather, transitioned into agriculture, cultivating vast cotton fields in Gujarat. Recognizing opportunities beyond borders, he began exporting cotton to the UK. With a forward-thinking mindset, he sent his son to England for higher education, laying the foundation for the family’s global expansion.

A New Chapter: From Cotton to Commerce

1960–1970 – Entering the UK Market
At just 13, my father, Usman Salya, arrived in London. He pursued his education while working in a cotton mill, learning every facet of the trade. From sourcing raw materials in India to supplying local mills in England, he mastered the business, setting the stage for future growth.

1980–1990 – The Garment Industry Boom
Usman expanded into the garment industry, sourcing fabrics and collaborating with tailors to produce custom pieces. A pivotal moment came with the establishment of our first denim processing and manufacturing plant, producing premium products for brands like Lee, Wrangler, Levi’s, Marks & Spencer, Next, and Italian designer labels. To optimize operations, the plant was relocated to Morocco.

Joining the Legacy

1995 – My Introduction to the Family Business
After completing my education in Fashion and Business Development, I joined the family business. Under my father’s guidance, I gained hands-on experience in manufacturing and project development, preparing to lead the company into its next era.

Laying the Foundation of Reign Holdings

1997 – Strategic Investments in Property
Usman made his first commercial property investment, focusing on blue-chip assets and food stores like Tesco and Morrisons. This strategic move diversified our portfolio and set the stage for future real estate ventures.

1998–2000 – The Birth of Reign Holdings
Usman acquired his first commercial plot, transforming it into a 12-unit residential project in Preston. This project marked the beginning of our real estate journey and the official birth of Reign Holdings.

Growth, Expansion, and Diversification

2000 – Taking Charge and Expanding the Vision
With my father’s trust, I took the reins of the business, securing planning permissions and making strategic land acquisitions. This era was defined by innovation, growth, and a vision to expand beyond the UK.

2000–2004 – Venturing into Dubai
Recognizing the immense potential in Dubai’s booming real estate market, we expanded into the UAE. Our projects, like Roma and Milano by Giovanni Boutique Suites, combined Italian-inspired designs with modern living, setting new standards in luxury residential spaces.

2004 – Honoring Our Roots
To honor my great-grandfather’s legacy, we established the Salya Institute of Medical Science, a free hospital in India. This wasn’t just a business initiative—it was a commitment to our family’s tradition of community service.

Building a Global Empire

2008 – Elevating Luxury in Dubai
We launched the prestigious Giovanni Boutique Suites in Dubai Sports City, which became a hallmark of high-end residential living.

2012 – Strengthening Our UK Presence
We developed Lordship and Trinity Yard in Central London, leading to the creation of the Silk Property Group, designed to offer bespoke property solutions to UK clients.

2013 – Milestones of Success
The completion of the Giovanni Boutique Suites, a 400-apartment complex, marked a major achievement. In Dubai, we launched Synergy Project Management to streamline project delivery.

Diversification Across Sectors

2014–2018 – Broadening Our Portfolio
We expanded into facilities management with Easy Fix and community management through Spectre. In the UK, Pillars Construction was established, while in Dubai, we introduced Arthur and Hardman. Our luxury residential legacy continued with the launch of Milano Giovanni Boutique in Jumeirah Village Circle.

A Vision for the Future

2019–2022 – Business Parks and Strategic Developments
The development of Hollins Business Park in Lancashire strengthened our UK portfolio, supporting local businesses and contributing to economic growth.

2023 – Exploring New Markets
We entered the skincare and food supply sectors, launching Clean Seoul, an e-commerce platform for Korean skincare. Plans were also initiated to expand our global food supply operations.

2024 – Sustainability and Resource Management
We introduced Earthworks Capital, our mining and commodity trading arm, focusing on primary and recycled aggregates for global infrastructure projects, emphasizing sustainability and efficiency.

2025 – The Future of Skincare
With the growing demand for premium skincare, we developed Maeum, an in-house Korean skincare brand set to launch soon.
